How to transfer your Wordle stats
Set of instructions. This tool is provided for free with no guarantee of it working whatsoever. It did work for me, both on safari ios and safari desktop.
I will try to do more testing once I've launched the tool, but safari makes it easy - I can synch clipboards between devices and share bookmarks through iCloud.
Please choose one of the following:
Transferring from poweroflanguage.co.uk to nytimes.com
NB - this will overwrite all of your progress on NYT version (if any)
- Bookmark Copy Wordle Stats by right clicking and choosing bookmark link or dragging into your bookmark bar. There is an article detailing alternate ways of adding a bookmarklet to your browser for safari.
- Go to poweroflanguage.co.uk homepage
- Click the bookmarked link. You will get a success confirmation
- Bookmark Paste Wordle Stats by right clicking and choosing bookmark link or dragging into your bookmark bar
- Navigate to nytimes.com wordle page
- Click the Paste Wordle Stats bookmarked link. You will get a success confirmation
- NB: On safari ios, a little "paste" tool tip appears on the top right of the page. You have to hit that to ensure everything works smoothly.

Merging two scores
Here's where it gets tricky. For now you'll need to do this manually. I might create a super tool, but for now, go to something like jsondiff and paste your before/after results from above into the left/right columns. Compare, add them up etc to create a new format. Copy that into your clipboard and then use the paste bookmark from earlier.
